The Bowgie continues to support British Longboard Championships

At the heart of Cornwall is it’s surfing culture and with summer on the horizon, the whole County has come alive.

The Bowgie Inn is famous for its stunning views overlooking Crantock Beach, so naturally we're passionate about supporting the British Longboard Championships, which are currently touring the County.

British Longboarding is enjoying fantastic success at the moment and will showcase some of the breathtaking locations that the Bowgie Inn is a part of.The competition which encourages people to get outdoors and closer to nature, celebrates the fantastic coastline which is the surfer’s playground.

This is the third event in the BLU Tour of 4 events to select the British Longboard Champions .There are 8 divisions covering men, women and juniors, ages ranging from 12 to 60 plus. The standard of surfing at the moment is very high resulting in Team GB coming 5th in the 2013 ISA World Longboard Titles in Peru ahead of the USA and Australia.

Why not follow the event with a night at the Bowgie, where they’ll have some live music from Cool As **** Newquay's Coolest Blues, Rock & Funk Band
